Nationwide Bank Holidays
In September, banks will remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays, as well as Sundays, when in-branch services will be unavailable. However, customers can continue to use digital banking services such as UPI, net banking, mobile apps, and ATMs.
Festival-Driven Bank Holidays
In addition to regular weekends, several festival-related holidays will be observed in September. While the dates vary by state, some major observances include:
- September 3 (Wednesday): Karma Puja (Jharkhand, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh)
- September 4 (Thursday): First day of Onam (Kerala)
- September 5 (Friday): Eid-e-Milad (observed in Kerala, Maharashtra, and other states)
- September 6 (Saturday): Indrajatra (Sikkim and other regions)
Weekend closures are as follows:
